Where are all the LGBTQ+ leaders?
An
Ipsos survey across 27 countries reported that openly LGTBQ+ people make up 9% of the global population. However, this figure is not being reflected in senior roles in business. Currently, there are only four Fortune 500 openly LGBTQ+ CEOs, and none in the FTSE 100.
In November 2022, INvolve, in partnership with OnePoll, undertook a survey of LGBTQ+ employees in the workplace for the launch of the annual Outstanding LGBTQ+ Role Model Lists, and through this survey we wanted to find out why there remains a lack of senior LGBTQ+ representation in business.
