For 14 years, Audeliss has been at the forefront of reshaping leadership representation. Founded with the mission to challenge traditional executive search, Audeliss has helped organizations build leadership teams that reflect the diverse talent available in modern society.
As the business landscape continues to evolve, the need for inclusive and forward-thinking leadership has never been greater. Over the past decade and beyond, Audeliss has worked alongside companies to break barriers, increase representation, and create tangible impact in boardrooms and leadership teams.
Championing diversity in executive search
When Audeliss was founded, executive search was heavily influenced by traditional networks and unconscious bias, often limiting opportunities for diverse talent. Research has shown that many firms historically relied on closed professional circles and word-of-mouth recommendations, which contributed to a lack of diversity in senior leadership roles. This left many talented professionals from diverse backgrounds without access to leadership opportunities. Audeliss set out to change this by placing diversity of thought at the core of its approach.
By building strong relationships with organizations and candidates alike, Audeliss has demonstrated that executive search can be both inclusive and highly effective – widening the gate for talent without lowering the bar on quality. Our work has supported companies in appointing leaders who bring diverse perspectives, driving innovation and better decision-making. In fact, since 2011, 76% of all our appointments have been diverse placements.
Shaping business leadership in a changing world
In the last few years, businesses have faced significant shifts in workplace priorities. Companies are reassessing how they approach leadership, workplace culture, and equity. Audeliss has played a key role in these conversations, helping organizations adapt to evolving expectations around DEI.
By working closely with CEOs, boards, and senior leadership teams, Audeliss has helped businesses recognize the strategic advantage of inclusive leadership. Leaders who understand and reflect the diverse markets they serve are better positioned to drive long-term success.
From search partner to global changemaker
As well as appointing talented candidates to roles, Audeliss has been at the forefront of wider change by supporting movements and initiatives that reshape the landscape of leadership.
- If Not Now, When?: In partnership with INvolve, Audeliss helped launch the If Not Now, When? Campaign, one of the UK’s largest CEO-driven commitments to Black inclusion in business. The campaign urges senior business leaders to commit to long-term, sustainable actions that advance equity for Black professionals and is supported by over 80 CEOs representing over 1 million UK employees. Audeliss plays a critical role in supporting participating organizations in meeting those commitments by identifying and elevating Black leadership talent.
- Supporting the INvolve Role Model Lists: Each year, Audeliss works closely with INvolve to amplify the Empower, Heroes, Outstanding, and Enable Role Model Lists, global celebrations of diverse leaders breaking barriers and inspiring others. Beyond celebration, these role models form a vital part of Audeliss’ extended candidate and client network. By connecting exceptional leaders with opportunities, Audeliss turns recognition into real impact.
- The LGBTQ+ Board Alliance: As a founding partner of the LGBTQ+ Board Alliance, alongside INvolve and Out Leadership, Audeliss is spearheading a global movement to increase LGBTQ+ representation at board level. The initiative is dedicated to turning inclusive policies into meaningful representation by supporting board-ready LGBTQ+ talent and helping companies appoint them into leadership positions.
- Growing our reach: As part of the We, Us, Ours group, Audeliss has also expanded its reach through the acquisition of influential platforms like the Black British Business Awards, the awards celebrating the commercial and social contributions of Black professionals in the UK, and TNON (The Network of Networks), a global community of changemakers for racial minority inclusion. These additions have further enhanced Audeliss’ ability to shape conversations at the highest levels of business.
- Creating spaces for connection and change: In addition to its day-to-day executive search work, Audeliss hosts exclusive events with prominent speakers for board members and senior leaders, offering valuable spaces for connection, learning, and collaboration. These events regularly feature thought-provoking panels, peer-to-peer networking, and keynote speakers who bring fresh insights into leadership, ethics, talent, and cultural change. More than just events, these are catalysts for innovation in how leadership teams operate and grow.
The road ahead: what’s next for executive search?
As Audeliss enters its 14th year, the work of transforming executive search is far from over. Companies continue to face new challenges, from economic shifts to evolving workforce expectations. In the U.S., growing anti-DEI sentiment has led to legislative pushback, with some states introducing sanctions or restrictions on companies that prioritize inclusive hiring. This climate makes it even more critical for organizations to stay committed to equitable talent strategies while demonstrating the tangible business benefits of diverse leadership.
Audeliss remains committed to pushing boundaries, challenging outdated recruitment practices, and ensuring that leadership teams reflect the world we live in today. As businesses prepare for the future, leadership that embraces diversity will be key to long-term success.
